Care and Cleaning your custom window coverings.

Bamboo Woven Woods: While beautiful and pleasing to the eye, Woven Woods are also designed to be durable, easily cared for and easily cleaned.  Occassional dusting with a feather duster or low suction vacuuming with a brush attachment is all that is needed to keep the shade looking new.

Faux Wood Blinds:  Like any wood furnishings, Wood Blinds should be dusted regularly to keep them looking new.  Use a soft, clean cloth, chemically treated dust cloth, or dusting mitt.  Blinds may also be cleaned by vacuuming them with the brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner or by wiping them with a soft, damp rag.

Honeycomb and Pleated Shades: While beautiful and pleasing to the eye, all our products are designed to be durable, easily cared for and easily cleaned.  Our non-woven fabrics are inherently anti-static and repel dust but occasional feather dusting or vacuuming may be neccessary to keep the fabrics clean and bright.  Spills and stains can be lightly blotted with a cloth or damp sponge.  More difficult stains may require soaking in water with mild soap.  For this, remove the shade from the window and submerge in tepid water with mild soap.  Soak and rub spot lightly.  Lay flat to dry or place back in window.  Raise shade tightly once almost dry to recrisp pleats.   Do not submerge Cordless, Cordless Top/Down-Bottom/Up, Blackout or Soft Double Cell fabrics.

Roller Shades:  Many fabrics are anti-static and actually repel dust.  An occasional light vacuuming with a soft bristle attachment or a gentle cleaning with a feather duster is all this is necessary to keep the shades looking fresh and clean. Spot-clean shades with a soft cloth or sponge moistened with luke warm water.  Add mild detergent if needed.  Blot gently and dry shade in fully lowered position.

Roman Shades:  Fabrics are anti-static and inherently dust resistant.  A light vacuuming with a soft bristle attachment or a gentle cleaning with a feather duster is all this is necessary to keep the shades looking fresh and clean.

Sheer Vertical Blinds: Our fabric is light and airy, yet highly durable.  Sheer Verticals may be feather dusted or vacuumed on a low suction setting to remove dust.  The fabric may also be machine washed on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent in cool water.  The fabric needs to be removed from the washer immediately after the spin cycle completes and resinstalled while slightly damp.  Follow PVC/Vinyl Vertical cleaning instructions for the PVC vanes.

Vertical Blinds: Fabric, Faux Wood and PVC/Vinyl Vertical Blinds can be dusted with a feather duster or lightly vacuumed with the brush attachment of your vacuum.   Fabric vanes can also be lightly blotted with a damp cloth or sponge and mild soap for stains.   Faux Wood vanes may be wiped down with a chemically treated dusting cloth, damp sponge or soft cloth.  PVC/Vinyl vanes can also be wiped down with a damp sponge or soft cloth with mild detergent.

Vienna Sheer Shadings: The soft, delicate feel of the fabric belies the durability of the material.  It is made from a sturdy, knitted polyester fabric which can be feather dusted or vacuumed on a low setting.  Spots or stains can be lightly rubbed clean with a damp sponge and mild soap.  To avoid discoloration of the material, we recommend against the use of chemical cleaners.  The sheer fabric may also be ultrasonically cleaned.

Wood Blinds:  Like any wood furnishings, Wood Blinds should be dusted regularly to keep them looking new.  Use a soft, clean cloth, chemically treated dust cloth, or dusting mitt.  Blinds may also be cleaned by vacuumming them with the brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner or by wiping them with a soft, damp rag.  Stained blinds should be treated periodically with lemon oil or other wood preservatives to protect their finish.
